The Rosa L. Thurmond Legacy Scholarship honors the life and legacy of Rosa L. Thurmond, a proud native of Athens, Georgia, whose compassion, faith, and love for serving others continue to inspire the mission of Integrative Arts Creations, Inc.
Established in her honor, this legacy fund invests in programs that enrich the lives of senior citizens through the arts, creative wellness, lifelong learning, and meaningful community engagement. By supporting opportunities that inspire creativity, connection, and purpose, the scholarship celebrates Rosa’s belief that every stage of life deserves dignity, joy, and the opportunity to thrive.

Integrative Arts Creations proudly presents the Rosa L. Thurmond Legacy Scholarship Fund, created to enrich the lives of senior citizens through the arts. Seniors age 65 and older who demonstrate a desire to participate in Integrative Arts Creations (IAC) programs or affiliated arts experiences may apply for scholarships of up to $100 annually to support their creative, social, emotional, and overall well-being.
Scholarship Eligibility
The Rosa L. Thurmond Legacy Scholarship is designed to support senior citizens (ages 65 and older) who desire to enrich their lives through meaningful artistic experiences. This scholarship recognizes the transformative power of the arts to inspire creativity, foster connection, and promote lifelong well-being.
Eligible applicants should demonstrate:
• Hope, faith, and courage in embracing new experiences
• A desire to engage in creative and artistic expression
• A willingness to learn, grow, and participate in arts-based activities
• A commitment to enhancing their social, emotional, cognitive, or overall well-being through the arts
Evidence of cognitive and/or emotional impairment may be considered but is not required to qualify for this scholarship. The scholarship is open to all eligible seniors who can benefit from participating in Integrative Arts Creations programming or approved partner arts experiences.
